Do I need a visa for Angola?
Most international travelers need a visa to visit Angola. The good news is that Angola has significantly modernized its visa system since 2023, making it much easier to obtain entry permission.
Visa on Arrival
Available at Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport (LAD) in Luanda and select border crossings. While convenient, an e-visa is recommended to avoid potential delays at immigration.
Visa-Free Entry
Citizens of some SADC member states (South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, etc.) and Portuguese nationals may qualify for visa-free short stays. Check current agreements for your nationality.

Can I extend my Angola tourist visa?

Can I enter Angola by land?
Yes, Angola has land border crossings with Namibia, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Republic of Congo. However, visa on arrival may not be available at all land borders.
